The OEM keyless entry remotes in this vehicle do not work when the engine is running - that's the way the vehicle was engineered . This means that you will be able to remote start by pressing lock 3x, but you will need to insert the key in the door to unlock while the engine is running during remote start. At additional cost you can upgrade this kit to use longer range 1-button remotes, 4-button remotes, or smartphone control module, which do allow keyless entry function while the vehicle is running.
