DETROIT, MI - General Motors reported a 3 percent decline in total vehicle sales for the month of June to 259,353 units. Related: Fiat Chrysler reports best June sales since 2006. Related: Ford's sales rise 2 percent in June. By brand, the increase in total sales was driven by strong results for GMC, and a solid showing for Chevrolet. GM said Wednesday last month marked its best June for retail deliveries since 2007 and its best June for retail market share since 2011. But sales declined 16 percent for the Enclave to 5,186 units, and they dropped 44 percent to 2,972 units for the LaCrosse. Cadillac sales declined 3 percent to 13,515 units. There were declines of 29 percent for the CTS to 1,535 units, of 20 percent for the Escalade to 1,522 units, of 15 percent for the XTS to 1,447 units and of 6 percent for the ATS to 2,211 units. These declines were partially offset by SRX sales, which grew 24 percent to 5,746 units. Pickup sales were strong, with the Silverado-C/K up 18 percent to 51,548 units, and the Colorado selling 6,558 units.
