This auction is for one NEW lower steering column bearing and support assembly for 1973-94 Chevy GMC Pickup with Tilt & Non Tilt steering columns. Will not fit three on the tree . This kit includes a real GM Retainer that allows the retainer ring to fully seat into the column. Others on ebay use a retainer that was manufactured incorrectly not letting the ring to fully seat resulting in a very sloppy fit. This one FITS! Check out my other items! This assembly replaces GM adapter 7805822, bearing 7805700, retainer 7804440, and retainer ring 7804439 in one kit.
This lower bearing kit is new and is made in the USA. This assembly installs into the mast jacket like the original and attaches to the mast jacket with the new wire clip that is included in the kit. It will also fit columns that had the all plastic bearing that was used in lots of GM columns with a much better all metal bearing.This installation results in a much more secure fit for the lower steering shaft. No modification to the steering column is needed to install this assembly.
