Shelby American 2015 Ford Mustang GT Super Snake Pushes out 750 HP - Automobile
Just when we were getting accustomed to the wild 627-hp 2015 Shelby American Mustang GT , Shelby American unveiled a new muscle-bound Mustang that produces a gut-wrenching 750 hp. The new 2015 Shelby Super Snake starts off life as a 2015 Ford... To make that headline-worthy horsepower figure, the standard 2015 Ford Mustang GT's 5. 0-liter V-8 is fitted with a Ford Performance supercharger, along with a Ford Racing Borla exhaust. Shelby does not mention any other modifications to the engine aside from the supercharger, but it is almost certain Shelby outfitted the engine with a heavy-duty fuel, ignition, and intake system to bring the power up to such elevated levels. Power is sent to the rear wheels through either a six-speed manual transmission or, for the first time ever in a Super Snake, an automatic transmission. For when the path turns from a drag strip to a canyon road, Shelby also outfitted the Super Snake with a Ford Performance suspension/handling pack.
