— The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is warning parents to talk to their children about “stranger danger” after two luring attempts late last week. According to sheriff’s officials, a man in a pickup truck asked a 10-year-old boy to get into his vehicle around 1:30 p. m. on Friday. The boy said no and told the man he lived nearby, according to officials, and the man drove away east on State Route 6. He was described as a white man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt pulled down over his head. The truck was described as a dark blue Ford Ranger extended cab with a green pinstripe on the door. Officials said the same man asked a different 10-year-old boy to get into his vehicle on Saturday around 7:30 p. m.
