Ford jacks up prices for Ranger MkII - Motoring
Ford Australia has today announced pricing adjusted upwards for most variants in the PX Ranger MkII model range. Ford has largely stayed with the proven drivetrain and underpinnings for the Ranger as we've reported previously, but the suspension has been tweaked and the commercial vehicle now steers through an EPAS (electric power-assisted steering system). A Tech Pack option for the XLT and Wildtrak grades brings together Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Impairment Monitor and a reversing camera (standard on Wildtrak). Ford has not addressed the higher pricing issue head on, simply pointing out in a press release quoting president Graeme Whickman that optioned up, the high-spec Ranger offers driver-assist technology on par with some luxury European passenger cars.
