Charges laid against South Dundas man for taking phone - Standard Freeholder

A 26-year-old male from South Dundas is facing theft charges after SDG OPP alleged he took his ex-girlfriend's cellphone during an argument. He was charged with theft under $5,000 and released from custody to appear in court on Sept. NORTH GLENGARRY - An 18-year-old male was walking down County Road 34 when he was intercepted by OPP officer on Aug. Police alleged the male was in contravention of conditions of keeping the peace and being on good behaviour. He is facing charges of failure to comply with sentence and possession of a controlled substance. ALEXANDRIA - An 82-year-old man is facing impaired charges after officers intercepted his vehicle on Main Street on Aug. Roger Lanthier is now facing the charge of driving a motor vehicle while impaired. An 18-year-old Cornwall man is facing breach of recognizance charges after he was found to be in the company of someone on Aug. He was taken into custody and also charged with breach for failing to keep the peace. SDG OPP officers received the two calls, one at 6:47 a. m. and one at 7:58 a. m. The first report was for a 2012 blue Ford F150 XLT Supercrew Model taken from a property on Church Road. The second was a 2002 blue Saturn L100 taken from a Main Street North.
