KELOWNA – Crime Stoppers is wanting the public to know about several crimes that occurred around Kelowna in the last week and are asking for the public’s help solving them. A Lake Country horticultural business on Carion Road reported a break and enter July 27. Thieves likely entered the yard through a gap in the fence where they broke into a storage container and left with several Stihl chainsaws, leaf blowers, fuel... On July 31 at 8 a. m. West Kelowna RCMP were dispatched to investigate a break and enter at a boat centre located on Byland Road. Suspects entered the premises by cutting though the fence after breaking through a neighboring business’s gate. Once inside they stole a $15,000 black Mercury Bravo 3 150 horsepower leg (serial number 0W581468). One of the suspects was wearing beige Carhartt overalls and possibly driving a beige Ford F350 truck. One suspect was heavy-set wearing a dark hoodie and red scarf, one was slim and wearing a white hoodie with dark green sleeves and one was of average build wearing a grey hoodie with white gloves. The bike is a 1996 black and chrome Harley Davidson Heritage Softail with VIN 1HD1BJL40TY013953 and B. C. licence plate K64183. In Lake Country on Aug. 3 campers at Wood Lake Campground returned to their site to find two bikes had been taken between 10 p. m. and 10:30 p. m. One. Source: infotel.ca
