Oak Bed Wood
Grooved, sanded, cut-to-size and ready-to-finish. Our show quality oak is kiln-dried with a thickness of 3/4". This wood set includes a 7/8 inch groove at the tailgate end of wood for placement of the bed wood sill. Mounting holes need to be drilled by customer before installation.
Polished Stainless Bed Strips
Polished bed strips are very shiny, giving them a "chrome" look. Bed strips are punched with square holes according to the original pattern. Each strip is 1 1/2" wide and 18 gage thickness. Stainless steel is type 430, bright and slightly magnetic. This truck requires 7 bed strips.
Bed Wood Sill
The bed wood sill caps off the exposed ends of the bed wood. American Classic Trucks makes Ford bed wood kits with a special 1 inch indention on the top of the bed wood so the bed wood sill lays flush with the wood and backs up to the strips, just like the original. The sill provides protection, as well as a nice appearance for the finishing touch to your bed. Holes are predrilled and bolts needed are included in your bed bolt kit. Made of 16 gage stainless steel. Polished stainless bed wood sill is very shiny, giving it a long lasting "chrome" look.
Polished Stainless Complete Hardware Kit
Hardware kit includes all the bolts, nuts, washers and lockwashers to install the bed wood, bed strips and sides. The bed strip and bed side bolts in this kit are carriage bolts, which means they have a smooth, rounded head and a square shoulder to fit into a square hole.
