PICKERINGTON (Lu Ann stoia) -- The Ohio Highway Patrol continues to investigate a hit-skip accident of a cyclist training for Pelotonia on a rural Licking County Road. OHP is searching for the driver of a pickup truck who hit Brian White on Sportsman's Club Road eleven days ago, and left him to die. White was treated at Grant Medical Center for serious injuries sustained in the crash, including a broken arm, broken wrist, bruised kidney and stomach, broken ribs and shoulder bone and a laceration on his leg about eight inches long and two... Chris Carpenter with OHP said they are looking for the driver of a Ford F-150 truck because they found an emblem matching a 2004 to 2009 model. OHP said they want the driver to come forward, and investigators believe late evening sun could have been a factor in the accident. I remember being in a ditch at that point, along the side of the road and I looked down to see my leg and my leg was pretty mangled and I remember not being able to move my left arm at all. I thought then and there, I can't die in this ditch," said White who got home from the hospital Sunday. White is married to his wife Rebecca and they have two children, Spencer,13 and Sarah, 11. White said the accident has caused his family and friends to draw closer. Source: www.myfox28columbus.com
