NWS: Mitchell receives 2.85 inches of rain - Daily Republic
The storm brought heavy rains and strong winds and left about 2. 85 inches of rainfall accumulation north of Mitchell, according to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls. The NWS reported several eastern and central South Dakota towns saw significant rainfall totals ranging from 1 to nearly 6 inches. Bridgewater reported 4. 2 inches, Dolton 3. 59 inches and White Lake showed 2. 55 inches of rain, according to Mike Gillispie, NWS hydrologist.
