Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer has confirmed to industry title Automotive News that the British sports car maker will bring an all-electric version of the Rapide sports saloon to market in two years' time. And it's sounding like quite a Tesla rival: the e-Aston is expected to boast up to 800bhp, an all-wheel drive system to quell the torque and a 200-mile range. Wait, does this mean no more Aston V12s. Fear not, the Aston Martin V12 soundtrack will continue to upset tranquil landscapes for years to come. The all-electric Rapide is expected to cost somewhere in the £125k-£160k bracket.
