A man who tried to disarm a Waukesha County sheriff's deputy at the county juvenile center was shot in the leg during a scuffle Monday afternoon. The 34-year-old Hartland man, who was at the Waukesha County Juvenile Center for a court hearing, tried to take the deputy's weapon around 2:50 p. m. , according to the sheriff's department. The 44-year-old deputy is a 16-year veteran of the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department. The investigation will be handled by Waukesha police and the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department.
