BRENTWOOD • Prominent defense attorney Scott Rosenblum has lost the latest round of a battle to keep his drivers license, but there may be more to come. Judge Margaret McCartney, a traffic commissioner in St. Louis County, ruled against Rosenblum on Tuesday. Rosenblum keeps his license in the meantime. Officials said a 2013 Bentley driven by Rosenblum, 58, of Ladue, crossed the center line and hit an oncoming 2001 Toyota pickup in the 1800 block of South McKnight Road in Brentwood about 12:15 a. m. April 29, 2014. The other driver, Ronald Monroe... Police said Rosenblum denied drinking any alcohol but later said he had one drink. In a separate proceeding, the Missouri Department of Revenue ordered his license revoked for one year because he refused to take a breath test or give a blood sample. In a decision handed down Tuesday, she said police did have probable cause to arrest Rosenblum and that he did refuse the tests. Brentwood police Officer Nick Seiverling said in court that Rosenblum had slurred speech, watery red eyes, an unsteady gait and a strong odor of alcohol.
