Haverford man charged with fourth DUI offense - Main Line
UPPER DARBY >> A Haverford man is facing driving under the influence charges for the fourth time following a Wednesday night crash on Township Line Road. According to charging documents, Christopher C. Patterson, 52, of the first block of North Concord Avenue in Havertown, allegedly said, “I’m screwed,” repeatedly when approached by police after a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of... The accident report came in at 9:45 p. m. Wednesday, and responding officers found Patterson sitting in the driver’s seat of a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup truck, which was resting on top of several shrubs in the parking lot of a Sunoco gas station. According to the affidavit of probable cause, the truck had extensive damage to the front corner of the driver’s side and wheel. A second car, 2007 BMW X3, also had extensive front-end damage. Officer Joseph Mazzone approached Patterson as he sat in the driver’s seat of his truck and smelled the odor of alcohol. He is charged with driving under the influence and careless driving. He has three previous DUI convictions from February 1991, March 2005 and March 2009. The most recent conviction carried a sentence of three to 23 months in county prison.
