Glenn Dalrymple, Lombardo was attempting to make a left turn from Winter Street onto Washington Street at the time. A motorist who was stopped in traffic left room for Lombardo to pass through the intersection and motioned for her to proceed, leading Lombardo to pull out in front of DiGiorgio's oncoming police cruiser, the report states. Town Administrator Jeff Ritter said the town referred the matter to its insurer, the Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association, which tapped Pierce, Davis and Perritano, a Boston firm specializing in civil litigation, to represent the town.
