Police: Carjacking suspect shot himself during foot chase in Lancaster County - abc27
BOWMANSVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) – A man wanted for a carjacking and other crimes in Berks and Lancaster counties intentionally shot himself as troopers chased him on foot from a Caernarvon Township home Wednesday morning, police said. Rutkowski allegedly stole a vehicle in Cumru Township, Berks County, and when that vehicle became disabled police said he stole a tan Chevrolet Suburban at gunpoint in the 1500 block of Reading Road in Brecknock Township. After an unsuccessful attempt to take a third vehicle in the 1900 block of North Churchtown Road in Caernarvon Township, police said Rutkowski entered a nearby house. Source: abc27.com
