2017 Chevrolet Equinox Caught On Film For The First Time - GM Authority (blog)
Just last week we brought you the very first spy photos of the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox . Today, we continue our round of firsts with this — the very first video capturing Chevrolet’s updated and slimmed-down compact crossover. The bulk of the video focuses on one particular Equinox, which appears to be the very same test mule captured in the photos from the prior week, judging by the license plate. However, stay tuned ‘till the end and you’ll spot a clutch of Equinox test mules, each wearing similar cladding and camouflage. If you look close enough, the new Equinox in the video appears to be notably smaller than the current generation, indicative of the repositioning of the vehicle directly into the compact class. Both Mazda and Jeep have found sales success with their respective compact crossovers, and we have little doubt Chevrolet has used them to test the new Equinox competitively. We expect the new Equinox to also be powered by a range of turbo-charged engines mated to either six- or eight-speed automatic transmissions. Expect the new Equinox to both be unveiled and go on sale sometime next year. Source: gmauthority.com
