The accident happened at approximately 3:11 p. m. on State Route 305. According to authorities, 27-year-old Michael D. Sweet, of Kent, was traveling westbound when he crossed the center line, overcorrected and traveled off the right side of the road. His Chevrolet Aveo struck a utility pole before stopping against a tree. His passenger, 35-year-old Ginger L. Scheel, also of Kent, was pronounced dead at the scene. Source: www.wkyc.com
