Police continue to investigate a fatal crash that occurred near Grayslake Monday afternoon and involved a landscape truck, dump truck, car and van. The driver of a 2003 Honda Civic was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a landscape truck that was pulling a trailer. The truck was traveling east on Route 120 near North Battershall Road when it crossed the centerline and sideswiped a westbound 2013 Mack Truck. The landscape truck then continued east and hit the westbound Honda. The landscape truck continued east and struck a westbound 2006 Chevrolet Uplander van driven by Samuel Rumpel, 18, of the 3300 block of Eastview Road in Grayslake. in Round Lake Beach, drove the 2013 Mack dump truck, which was registered to Arrow Shop Ltd. A passenger in the landscape truck , Enrique Torres-Lopez, 48, of the 800 block of Jorgenson Court in Round Lake Park, was treated at the scene and released.
