April Lynn Zell, 18, of Wallops Island, Virginia, was identified by the medical examiner as the driver of a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier that crashed head-on into another vehicle on Route 13 near Eastville in the early morning hours Tuesday. The Chevrolet was traveling the wrong way at a high rate of speed when it struck a 2005 Mitsubishi Gallant traveling south, causing the Chevrolet to burst into flames, police said. “She had an excellent rapport with her peers here and with our faculty and staff,” said Karen Taylor, the school’s vice-principal.
