Northampton County, Va. – One woman is dead and two other people are fighting for their lives after a head-on collision on Route 13 in Northampton County. The driver of a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier, identified as 18-year-old April Lynn Zell of Wallops Island, was going northbound in the southbound lanes of Route 13 at a high speed. The vehicle hit a 2005 Mitsubishi Gallant and the Cavalier burst into flames. The driver of the Mitsubishi, Juan Carlos Mendoza was flown to Norfolk Sentara with life-threatening injuries.
