NELSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A Kent woman was killed Wednesday afternoon when the car she was riding in crashed in Portage County. The car's driver, 27-year old Michael D. Sweet, of Kent, had minor injuries. The 2007 Chevrolet Aveo was traveling west about 3:10 p. m. on Ohio 305 in Nelson Township in Portage County when it crossed the center line, according to a statement released by the Ravenna post of the State Highway Patrol. The driver was taken by paramedics to Robinson Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, the statement says. State Highway Patrol officials do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, the statement said. Source: www.cleveland.com
