Four-mile police chase ends in head-on crash - Grand Forks Herald
A woman was trying to bring Raper into the facility, but Raper got into his 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and drove away just as officers were arriving, the release said. Officers tried to pull the vehicle over, which they said was driving erratically, at one point driving through a ditch onto Highway 75 heading south, the release said. But police say Raper continued to drive south, swerving from side to side, speeding up, slamming on his brakes and driving on the wrong side of the road. Crookston police say Raper led officers onto gravel roads and back north toward Crookston, at one point turning onto South Main Street and heading north. The chase ended about seven minutes after it started when Raper crashed head-on into the 2005 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Polk County Sheriff's Capt. Source: www.grandforksherald.com
