CEDAR LAKE | The staff at Bobb Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is getting accustomed to a large, modern store this week after the dealership moved to its new home at 13007 Wicker Ave. The new dealership is 28,000 square feet on nearly 5 acres of land, Art Georgian, the general manager and part-owner, said. Robert Bobb and Georgian purchased the dealership three years ago, knowing at the time they would build a new headquarters. Georgian said the new store should have 300 to 400 vehicles in stock, as compared to about 150 at the old location. The showroom will have a "salon" for each of the dealership's brands — Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram. Georgian said the new store's location should also be beneficial. The dealership does not pay its sales staff commission, and is a "single price store" — meaning it doesn't bargain on price Georgian said. He said the corporate sales quota for the store in 2014 was over 300, but the dealership sold more than 700.
