The impact caused the Toyota to roll several times before coming to a stop and catching fire. The Ford came to a stop in the northbound lane of the highway. The driver of the Toyota, 50-year-old Todd Morose of Tacoma, was killed in the crash. The driver of the Ford, 31-year-old Matthew Haygood of Roy, was treated at the crash scene, then arrested. He was booked into the Pierce County Jail, charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, leaving the scene of an accident and obstructing an officer. He caused an accident 15 min earlier on 138th and C st and fled the scene. I live on the corner, heard a loud bang, opened up my door to see a jeep with the bushes and watched a white ford pass a car on the shoulder and speed off northbound down C St. I called 911. and not 12 minutes later, he caused this accident and...
