A California Highway Patrol officer and another motorist suffered minor injuries in a collision that occurred as the officer was pursuing a speeding motorist on Highway 65 near Lincoln. As the CHP unit moved into the right-turn lane of northbound Highway 65 to turn onto Nelson Lane, a 2004 Honda S2000 suddenly turned right, directly into the path of the patrol vehicle, CHP officials said. The officer swerved to avoid a collision, but lost control of his vehicle and traveled left across the roadway, where it struck a 2006 Honda Civic that was traveling in the left lane of northbound Highway 65.
