2015 Ford Ranger Wildtrak Looks Rough and Rugged - Video, Photo Gallery - autoevolution

FoMoCo launched the range-topping 2015 Ford Ranger Wildtrak today in Thailand. Building upon the utilitarian Ranger ute we all know and love, the facelifted model in Wildtrak format adds some aggressive styling to the mix, joined by a plethora of offroading-focused technological brouhaha. It’s a bit of a shame that the chicken tax imposed in 1963 by President Lyndon B. Johnson renders the Ford Ranger facelift a no-show in the United States, but countries like the Land Down Under, New Zealand, parts of Asia and Europe will get it.... Just like the F-150, the 2015 Ford Ranger is available in basic formats, with black plastic bumpers and so on. Not the Wildtrak though. This bad boy boasts 800 mm water-wading capability and 230 mm of ground clearance, as well as an electronically controlled transfer case. Trevor Worthington, vice prez of Product Development for Ford Asia Pacific, is enthusiastic about the Wildtrak: “Building on the bolder, smarter and more refined new Ranger, the new Wildtrak is a perfect fit for customers who want to combine... Cool White, Black Mica, Aluminum Metallic and Metropolitan Gray don’t rock our boat as much as Pride Orange. So the 2015 Ford Ranger Wildtrak ute talks the talk, but can it walk the walk. Local testing for 'Benz ute - Motoring

Mercedes-Benz Australia Pacific will play a role in the development of the Mercedes-Benz's new Nissan Navara-based utility, with local engineers to begin work with prototypes in the not-too-distant future. Speaking at the recent launch of the new Mercedes-Benz Vito van and Valente people-mover in Sydney , Mercedes-Benz PR chief David McCarthy said Mercedes-Benz Australia Pacific would play a part in the prototype's evolution. Mercedes-Benz first went public with its plans for the model in March, also releasing a teaser sketch (pictured), but the company has been working on the Nissan Navara-based offering for a number of years. "A lot of the work has already been done but we [Mercedes-Benz Australia Pacific] will have input and we'll do some testing that will feed back into the finished product. Mercedes-Benz approached the Renault-Nissan Alliance to source a starting point for the new model which – according to an earlier CAR Magazine report and following standard 'Benz nomenclature – will be called the GLT. While the vehicle will be based on a frame taken from Nissan's new NP300 Navara, McCarthy stressed that the finished product would be a true Mercedes-Benz in every other respect. Morgan reveals Cosworth-powered AR Plus 4 - Motoring

Called the AR Plus 4, the new Morgan has been developed and produced by the company’s racing division, AR Motorsport. Performance hasn’t been confirmed, but weighing in at less than 900kg, the AR Plus 4 is expected to reach 100km/h from standstill in less than six seconds. To help cope with the extra power the Plus 4 gets new suspension all around, new brakes, wider 16-inch alloys and lightweight aluminium floor and body panels. Inside the Morgan AR Plus 4 the manufacturer has added more insulation to reduce road and wind noise, conflicting a little with all that weight-saving. The AR Plus 4 also features a new re-designed dash and lots of leather and aluminium features. In the UK the new AR Plus 4 is priced from £54,995 ($110,000).
