Here’s all the information you need to know about this weekend’s 61st annual Chevrolet Performance U. S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway in suburban Indianapolis:. WHAT: 18th of 24 events in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series and the last race in the NHRA Mello Yello Series regular season. At the conclusion of this event, the top 10 drivers in four categories – Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle – will be locked in to begin the six-race Countdown to the Championship playoffs, leading to 2015 NHRA Mello Yello... The facility’s main entrance is on the left, one-half mile past Raceway Road. POINTS: A special world championship points system is in effect at this event, where drivers in the Mello Yello Series categories will earn points based on a point-and-a-half system (150 points to win). A single racer in each category can earn a maximum of 208 points at this event. Teams also will get 15 points instead of 10 for making a qualifying attempt. Qualifying bonus points will remain at 3-2-1 for the five qualifying sessions and the standard 1-8 points will be given for qualifying positions. Drivers who set a national E. Injuries reported in wreck south of Ramona - Examiner Enterprise

A three-vehicle accident Thursday morning saw several injuries, including one man who was life-flighted to a Tulsa hospital. According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:23 a. m. Thursday about 4 miles south of Ramona on Highway 75. At that time, all three vehicles were southbound on U. S. Highway 75. A 2008 Ford F-150 pickup,... At that point, a 1999 Ford Explorer, driven by 49-year-old Timothy A. Osborn of Ochelata, “failed to stop for the school bus,” striking the Ford pickup in the rear, then striking the Chevy pickup on the front driver side. Osborn was pinned in his vehicle for about 50 minutes before being freed by the Ramona Fire Department with the jaws of life. He was then transported by Life-Flight Air Ambulance to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, where he was admitted in good condition with trunk internal and leg injuries. Troopers listed the cause of the collision as “failure to stop for a school bus” and the condition of the driver as “apparently normal.
