Young race car driver Jordan Taylor switched up his game for a change and instead of driving sports cars on the track, he took the wheels of a Chevy Astro van and did a parody music video. As far as the YouTube video description is concerned, it would seem the parody is supposed to be a funny ‘90s biggest hits compilation, with the fellows slow dancing next to the cars. But who is Jordan Taylor. He is the son of veteran racing driver Wayne Taylor. The 58-year old South African team owner won the 1996 and 2005 24 Hours of Daytona, and the 2005 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype drivers’ championship. Taylor now owns and manages his own team competing in the Rolex Sports Car Series, the same Jordan is driving for. After previously competed int he GT class, where he won two races for Autohaus Motorsports, Jordan Taylor also competed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2012 and 2013 in the GTE-Pro class for Corvette Racing. On May 9, 1995, Scott and Maria Tanzini welcomed Brittany Tanzini into the world from East Jefferson General Hospital, where they had driven despite historic flood waters (far left). In May 2005, the family posed with Brittany Tanzini in the foreground and daughter Katelynn behind. Now, 20 years after Brittany Tanzini's "miracle birth" the family posed by Lake Pontchartrain. Recently at the grocery store, someone asked Tanzini if she was the woman who gave birth to the "miracle baby" of 1995. "It's funny when people recognize us," Tanzini said. By "us," she means her and her daughter, Brittany, born at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie amid the worst rainstorm of the 20 century in southeast Louisiana, one that flooded thousands of houses and vehicles -- including the family van... A bright spot amid a disaster, the story of Brittany's birth became one of those local legends that has come to mean something about the New Orleans area's resilience. Two killed, others seriously injured in weekend crashes - Daily Journal Online

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 27-year-old Potosi resident Neil R. Blankmann died as the result of a two-vehicle accident Friday in Iron County. The head-on collision reportedly happened on Highway 32 when the 2007 Ford F-150 driven by Elmer J. Winingar, 46, of Caledonia, struck a 2005 Mazda operated by Tyler J. Peterson, 29, of Potosi. Just prior to the accident Winingar was driving east on Highway 32 and apparently attempted to pass another vehicle in the eastbound lane, causing his truck to hit the westbound Mazda. Both drivers, Winingar and Peterson, received serious injuries in the crash and were flown by medical transport helicopters to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. In the second fatal wreck, Karon S. Bell, 66, of Farmington, succumbed to the injuries she received as the result of a two car collision in Saturday morning. The accident happened as Bell was driving her 1997 Chevrolet Astro south on Pendleton Road at about 11 a. m. when it struck a 2012 Kia Optima driven by Eric L. Simshauser. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Simshauser’s vehicle was slowed in the eastbound lane of Raby Road at the intersection when the driver turned into the path of Bell’s Chevrolet. After the impact Bell’s car went off the road and struck a tree. Bell was pronounced dead at the scene by St. Francois County Coroner Jim Coplin. Source: dailyjournalonline.com
