It is a good testing ground for a big car like the M5. With its standard head-up display showing the colourful tachometer and digital speed readout, the numbers jump by four and five at a time, the system struggling to keep up with the rapid acceleration of the car. I match the move and the M5 washes off speed, down into fourth and through the chicane, down to third then around the tight Dandenong Road left-hander before I’m back on the gas. One rare BMW M3 CSL is currently on sale for an asking price worthy of a true sports car, 109,500 euros. The BMW M3 CSL is considered by many to be the best model the car manufacturer has ever put together and it has been based on the E46 generation of the 3-Series. The vehicle has been created in a limited edition of just 1,383 units and this particular one, made in left-hand drive, is one of the approximately 840 units made in this configuration. The BMW M3 CSL is 110 kg lighter than the regular M3 E46 generation and it is coming with a 3. 2 liter engine under its hood, which has been updated in order to produce a total output of 360 HP (265 kW) at 7,900 rpm and a peak torque of 370 Nm...
