The stock RS7 , with its eight-speed automatic and Quattro system, reaches 60 mph in 3. 4 seconds and blitzes the quarter-mile in 11. 6 seconds at 123 mph. However, fitted to the RS7 seen here ($129,374 as tested), APR’s Stage 1 tune boosts the output of the stock twin-turbo 4. 0-liter V-8 from 560 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque to a claimed 674 and 700, respectively, on 93-octane pump gas. Although our testing wasn’t without issues—an APR engineer had to exorcise a demon from our car’s brain before it ran properly—the additional thrust had the 4508-pound Audi pulling violently with the Thor hammer down. It briefly spun all four tires during launch, and our test gear reported an impressive 2. 9-second warp to 60 mph on premium unleaded, with the quarter-mile blurring past in 11. 0 flat at 129 mph. The new programming also sharpens throttle response and ups the RS7’s electronically limited top speed from the stock 190 mph to a claimed 202. Thus, the suspension permits body roll, the tires have at least some comfort built into their compromised compound, and the big hatchback body is loaded with weighty amenities. Eventually the track turns, however, and Audi doesn’t give you enough tire or chassis starch to handle the velocity the engine can summon. Tesla Motors Inc (TSLA) Lied About Model S, now Fans Are Revolting - LearnBonds

The fact that Tesla Motors removed the claim from its site speaks volumes about the number offered when the P85D first went on sale, however, and those that wrote the letter seem convinced of the falsity. Tesla Motors no longer quotes a single horsepower figure for the Model S P85D. Instead it offers a number for the front motor and another for the back motor. Tesla Motors learned that sometime along the way. Tesla Motors doesn’t advertise, or does it. Tesla Motors claims to not spend a dollar on advertising, but that doesn’t mean the firm is innocent of spreading false information about its cars. A common request seems to be for Tesla Motors to give a Ludicrous Mode upgrade to all of those who bought the P85D for free. The first with no cost to the Model S owner, the second with the Model S owner paying for labor but not parts. These are all fans of Elon Musk and of the Tesla Motors Model S, but they feel like they’ve been wronged by the firm’s marketing team.
