A 'silly' vandal who was caught keying a £100,000 Aston Martin is today facing jail after admitting criminal damage. Gary Brissett, 48, was pushing his baby in a pram when he inexplicably used a bunch of keys to scratch nearly £8,000 of damage into the pricey motor in a Tesco car park, a court heard. Owner Oliver Hall returned moments and discovered the damage along the full length of the passenger side of his car. The footage shows Brissett stoping in front of the V8 Vanquish sports car before rummaging around in his pockets. After he finds his keys, Brissett pulls the cover down on the baby's pushchair and slowly approaches the vehicle. With the keys in his left hand, Brissett, who has a 13-month-old baby, grimaces as he drags them down the complete side of the car, ruining the Aston's paint job. Brissett appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court and pleaded guilty to causing £7,741. 28 damage to the near side of Mr Hall's Aston Martin Vanquish on 19 June. Chair of the bench Carol Brabender told him: "You are a single father with a 13-month-old little baby and at that age they start to copy you. At 11am on Saturday, (Sept 5) David Brown’s grandson Adam Brown will unveil a stone plinth in Westroyd Park off Parkside Road to mark the site where the original DB2/4 MKII and MKIII models were built. More than 50 Aston Martin owners are expected to travel from across the UK to Farsley to be at the event. Their cars will form a parade along Town Street to an exhibition area at Sunnybank Mills on Town Street. Event organiser, Coun Rod Wood (Cons/Calverley and Farsley), said: “I would have thought every Aston Martin will be represented at the event, from the DB2 onwards. Aston Martin are sending up the new Aston Martin Rapide F. ”. And there will be a wide-range of activities at Sunnybank Mills from 10am to 4pm on Saturday. Visitors can call into the Sunny Bank Mills Gallery to see a selling exhibition of work submitted to celebrate the tractors and fast cars of the 1950s.
