In terms of bang for your buck, there’s not a lot that can beat the 2001 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage that’s on offer. Although the DB7 started out as a straight-six, in 1999 the V12 Vantage really transformed Aston’s big coupe into something a while lot more special. This Derwent Green 2001 example has covered 69,824 miles, with a fully-stamped Aston Martin service book – with one recent service from specialist Desmond J Smail. Fitted with the ZF automatic gearbox, this DB7 comes with a full MOT until February 2016, with a clean bill of health following its most recent full service from Aston Martin Works. Historics has placed an estimate of £18,000-£24,000 on the car, making this one of the best value Aston Martins on the market. Proving how far ahead of the curve Jaguar was, the C-X75 concept failed the feasibility study back in 2010. Five years ago, there wasn’t sufficient demand for a hybrid eclectic-petrol-powered 200mph+ all aluminium hypercar. Over the past 12 months, three new Callum-designed Jaguars, including the F-Type coupe, the XE and XF, have been unveiled, but so has this ‘restomod’ based on the classic Mark II from the 1950s.
