Fairfield man charged with threatening wife. Emir Arslanagic, 39, of Fairfield, was arrested Saturday morning after he allegedly threatened his wife with a hunting knife during an argument. According to the police report, she told officers while she sat in a chair he allegedly waved a sheathed five-inch hunting knife around and threatened to burn down the house, then he pushed her out of the chair onto the concrete floor. She told police she locked herself and their 11- and 9-year-old daughters in the bedroom and called her sister in New York who called the police, the report said. A 43-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested at state Superior Court in Bridgeport last Friday morning for allegedly stealing items from a car parked in a commuter lot located on the Black Rock Turnpike near the Merritt Parkway.
