The Ignition team achieved the fast part by swapping in a 6. 2-liter LS3 V-8 sourced from Chevrolet Performance, which makes 430 hp and 424 lb-ft of torque and had no issues fitting inside the 240SX’s cavernous engine bay. When choosing a new engine, the team considered many choices, but ultimately went with the LS3 crate engine for its reliability, power, and, most importantly, the fact that it’s emissions-legal.
