— Three people were killed and one other was seriously injured after a car crash Friday night on Highway 285 and South Turkey Creek Road, the Colorado State Patrol said. The driver of a 2008 BMW 328 was identified as Alex Granillo-Alvarado, 22. He was in serious condition Sunday at St. Anthony’s West in Lakewood, officials said. Investigators said the BMW was speeding going northbound on Highway 285 when it went off the right side of the road, slid and rolled several times, ejecting all four of the victims. Source: kdvr.com

A racing version of BMW’s 3. 0 CSL Hommage concept has made its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours. Wearing the brand’s racing colours, the high-tech Hommage R follows on from the standard concept revealed at May’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy. Its cabin boasts special racing features as well as a race suit that can display information to the driver, with speed and engine information transmitted through the helmet and special piping in the sleeves that illuminates when both hands are on... “We’re aiming to show how much closer the driver and car can grow," explained BMW Group design boss Adrian van Hooydonk. BMW has revealed a racing variant of its 3. 0 CSL Hommage concept car. To make its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours D'elegance, is almost identical to the concept unveiled at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in May, and gets BMW’s racing colour scheme. While BMW insists the concept is a one-off creation with no production future, sister publication, Autocar UK understands that the concept does still hold some significance for BMW’s future production models. Senior sources have revealed that the concept is a statement of intent for the BMW M division to build more extreme, lightweight models, which would be pitched as the company's answer to its great rival, the Mercedes-AMG’s Black Series versions. 0 CSL Hommage is the third Hommage car from BMW in recent years, following on from the M1 Hommage from 2008 and the 328 Hommage, which celebrated the 75th anniversary of the 328 racer in 2011.
