Two dead in two separate crashes - Lincoln Journal Star
Two people, including an 8-year-old boy, died Saturday night as a result of two separate Butler County accidents. The first crash occurred around 6:35 p. m. on Highway 92 at the intersection of County Road G, about 2 miles east of Rising City. According to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, 16-year-old Amanda Prellwitz of Rising City was driving a 2006 Toyota Sienna minivan east on the highway and slowing to turn north onto County Road G when her vehicle allegedly was struck from... Prellwitz and three passengers in her vehicle were transported by ambulance to Butler County Health Care Center in David City. Caleb Prellwitz, 8, of Rising City died from his injuries at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office and rescue crews from Rising City, David City, Shelby and Bellwood responded to the scene of the accident, which remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office and Nebraska State Patrol. The second fatal accident occurred shortly before 10 p. m. Saturday on U. S. Highway 81 about 2 miles north of the Highway 64 junction. Source: journalstar.com
