FPV slashes prices - Motoring

Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) is offering buyers of its volume-selling F6 and GT models savings of more than $10,000 in the lead-up to the discontinuation of its entire range this year. The turbocharged six-cylinder FPV F6 can now be had for $54,990 drive-away, while the FPV GT is now on sale for $64,990 drive-away. That represents a $9400 price cut for the F6 (normally $64,390 plus on-road costs) and a $5800 saving for customers of the GT (normally $70,790 plus ORCs). Including on-road costs and free leather trim and satellite-navigation, both of which are also included, the savings exceed more than $10,000 for both models. The deal applies only to 2013-plated models, but FPV is also offering finance with a low 2. 9 per cent per annum interest rate for its entire 2013 model range in January. Ford has announced it will kill off the FPV brand and all of its models – including the GS, F6, F6E, GT, GT-P and GT-E sedans, and the F6 and GS utes – this year. To satisfy buyers of large Australian performance cars, Ford will resurrect the XR8 sedan ( but not the ute) with GT mechanicals as part of the facelifted Falcon line-up due on sale in late 2014.
