After rising to fame for his innovative, athletic-yet-precise work as the percussive powerhouse for progressive rockers Porcupine Tree, Harrison gained even more cred when he joined avant-rock pioneers King Crimson in 2008. Although Porcupine Tree... He’s one of three drummers in the new lineup of King Crimson, which played a series of acclaimed live shows in the U. S. in 2014. And he has a new solo album, Cheating the Polygraph , which finds him and collaborator/bassist Laurence Cottle... at times the new arrangements veer so far from the original Porcupine Tree versions that it’s hard to recognize the source material.
