The vehicles may be part of more than 30 million vehicles being recalled in the U. S. due to issues with Takata airbags. The sheriff’s office was notified by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles officials Friday about the potential problem with the department’s 2010 Dodge Charger police squad cars. Takata has agreed to a national recall of certain types of driver- and passenger-side airbag inflators. The Charger was the go-to car when (the Ford) Crown Vic was (being phased out of production). It has been one headache after another with Chrysler products,” said Ellis County Sheriff Johnny Brown.
