Expensive tools stolen from truck - Pueblo Chieftain

-- Tools valued at more than $5,000 reportedly were taken overnight Saturday from a truck while it was parked in the 1700 block of Claremont Avenue. Ruben DeHerrera told police that someone broke the back window on his 2006 Dodge Ram truck and took two saws, a paint sprayer, drill, assorted hand tools and a tool bag. Gerome Ulibarri said his 1995 GMC Sonoma truck was taken Saturday afternoon from his home in the 600 block of Mesa Avenue. Ulibarri said he was inside his home and when he went outside, he saw a male and female driving away in his truck. Ulibarri described the truck as being purple with three yellow Rockstar stickers on the back window and two Rockstar stickers on the tailgate. He estimated the truck’s value at $2,500. Lynette Chavez told police that Saturday afternoon someone took her son’s Yamaha dirt bike that was parked on her home’s porch in the 100 block of Marian Drive. Richard Smithwick, 22, of the 1600 block of Graham Avenue, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of robbery. Dominic Michael Diaz, 20, of the 1900 block of Ridgewood Lane, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of unlawful use of a controlled substance. Brittany Jean Flores, 28, of the 2600 block of Lynwood Lane, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of second-degree burglary. --> Gerome Ulibarri said his 1995 GMC Sonoma truck was taken Saturday afternoon from his home in the 600 block.
