If you absolutely need to go 220 miles per hour (the Veneno's top speed), the car is a steal at just $4 million a pop. It should come as no surprise that this beautiful, powerful machine doesn't get good gas mileage: only 13 miles per gallon, according to the preliminary Fuel Economy Guide for 2015 models from U. S. Environmental Protection Agency. In fact, some of the most expensive and powerful sports cars get terrible gas mileage. Go just 13 miles and you've burned a gallon of gas. Next-Gen Toyota Tacoma Scheduled for Detroit Debut - Motor Trend

In addition to showing the revamped truck at the show next month, the outlet reports the company will be making an official announcement about it. Seeing it should come as a surprise to all, as not much has been revealed about the new Tacoma. We spied the pickup wearing minimal camouflage earlier this year, and from the looks of it, it appeared to be a mock-up of the current Tacoma. Rumor has it that the four- and five-speed automatic gearboxes will be dropped in favor of a six-speed like in the 2014 Toyota Tundra , while others suggest the regular cab model will be scrapped from the lineup. Because the tester appeared to be the same size as the current Tacoma, it's possible it'll keep the same bones, though it could use a tweaked version of the current truck's frame. Judging by the amount of comments on the Taco, as well as the Colorado/Canyon reviews, I would say there is quite a bit of interest in midsized trucks. Again, I think comparing these trucks to the fullsized trucks is a little misguided. These trucks are as much about "lifestyle" as they are about being work/haul trucks. Looks like success to me. The Taco wasn't redesigned because of the Colorado, the Taco's redesign was planed before the Colorado even hit the streets. Toyota’s strong performance in August, when sales rose 10. 2%, pulled ahead some September purchases. Fleet sales made up just 4% of total Toyota Div. sales, says Bill Fay, Toyota Div. Sales of both the hybrid and conventional Camry fell last month, 38. 0% and 11. 8%, as Toyota sold down the ’14 model and launched the ’15 Camry. Fay says Camry retail sales climbed 15% in September and that only a small sliver, roughly 1,000, were sold to fleets. Toyota’s second-best-selling car, the C-segment Corolla, also stumbled, down 14. 9% vs. September 2013, when the current generation was launching. Prius sales continued to underwhelm, which Fay blames on Toyota selling out of the ’14 liftback variant in August, low fuel prices and the advanced age of the lineup. Prius liftback and V wagon sales were down 10. 2% last month, bringing their 9-month volume down 16. 2%. Prius C sales slipped 6. 8% and that car is off 4. 7% calendar-year-to-date. Toyota will be refreshing the V and C Priuses next year, Fay says. An all-new generation of the liftback also is expected in 2015. Toyota’s light trucks fared better than the brand’s passenger cars.
