2016 Porsche 911 Carerra Spy Shots And Video - Motor Authority

The current Porsche 911, the Type 991, made its debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show and hit the market shortly after as a 2012 model. The latest photos show the basic Carrera but prototypes for updated versions of the Carrera Cabriolet , Targa and Turbo have also been spotted in the past. The front of the updated 911 is characterized by revised daytime running lights and new intakes in the bumper, possibly with an active grille function to help save fuel. This is very different to the design used on the existing Carrera models, suggesting some serious updates under the hood as part of this mid-cycle update. Though it’s yet to be confirmed, Porsche is expected to fit its updated Carrera models with a common turbocharged 3. 0-liter flat-six. The updated Carrera is expected to come with 370 horsepower on tap, up from the 350-hp rating of the current model’s 3. 4-liter mill. and the updated Carrera S should have 420 hp, up from the 400-hp rating of the current model’s 3. 8-liter unit. Other updates are expected to include the four-wheel-steering system currently found on high-end 911 variants as well as a front-lift system to help protect from bumper scrapes. You have probably heard in the news about the Tesla Model S P85D review from Consumer Reports. More specifically, how CR gave it 103 points out of a potential 100. The absurdity of it all goes even further – "The Tesla initially scored 103 in the Consumer Reports' ratings system, which by definition doesn’t go past 100. The car set a new... Case in point 2 – Tesla paid big bucks for the 103-point score. As such, I will gladly offer Consumer Reports three reasons why the Tesla Model S in P85D form is not the best car out there. Caitlyn Jenner Chooses Her Porsche 911 GT3 RS To Make World Debut - The Art of Gears

Yesterday (June 1, 2015) was an important day for Caitlyn Jenner and according to DKNY’s own PR Girl the car that she chose to reveal her reborn identity was her 2011 Porsche GT3 RS. Just like Caitlyn, the 911 Porsche was the right choice. Not only is her Porsche GT3 RS super athletic, strong and quick, the 911 also has the curves in all the right places. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS was always one of Caitlyn’s favorite rides. When Malibu held their weekly Cars and Coffee meets, Caitlyn would sometimes attend with her Porsche 911 GT3 RS in tow. Check out this Instagram photo showing Ms. Jenner’s Porsche parked in the corner, although not rear end first as per usual for these types of car shows. And when the chips hit the fan back in February after that unfortunate fatal crash, Caitlyn’s Porsche 911 GT3 RS was there for her when she needed to blow off a bit of steam.
