Hot on the heels of what Nissan claims is the first “crowdsourced” custom car, 2012’s Project 370Z, the company extended the idea into the off-road sector with Project Titan, based on a ’14 Titan PRO-4X Crew Cab. Starting with an already solid foundation and featuring the truck’s stock skid plates, front and rear Dana axles, and electronic locking rear differential, Project Titan was set to be a pretty impressive truck, regardless of what the fans chose. Similar to Project 370Z, fans of the Nissan Trucks Facebook page were presented with a few options for each truck modification and could vote on which they thought would be best for Project Titan, which the company said would be “the ultimate... However, unlike Project 370Z, Nissan had a very special reason for building a custom Titan. Two months after announcing the project, the company said that it would be partnering with the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) for the special truck. To honor those brave Americans who have served since the September 11 tragedies, Nissan asked America to help build a custom truck to take two WWP vets on an Alaskan adventure. Bob Corker was still savoring Tuesday's 19-0 committee vote for his legislation to review any nuclear deal with Iran when Sen. Lamar Alexander sat down next to him at a meeting two days later and passed him a note. The committee that Alexander chairs had just voted 22-0 to approve his massive rewrite of federal education law, the note said. It's especially unusual that committee chairmen from the same state would achieve two such votes on major policy issues in a single week. Corker, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, and Alexander, chairman of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, could have rammed purely Republican bills through their panels. Very little gets approved in the Senate without 60 votes, which means the chamber's 54 Republicans need at least six Democrats to join them. This week's deal-making by Corker and Alexander recalled the late GOP Sen. "Howard Baker is very much in the bloodstream of this kind of behavior in Washington," said Tom Ingram, a Nashville political strategist who was Alexander's chief of staff and later an adviser to Corker. Blidi Wreh-Wilson wants to stay in mix for Titans - The Tennessean

Case in point: Titans cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson is still recovering from shoulder surgery, and he's limited during organized team activities. When a reporter decked out in a Hawaiian shirt stopped by to chat with him last week, a nearby teammate said Wreh-Wilson should be wearing the shirt instead, suggesting he's currently on vacation. I feel good about the recovery and I'm trying to take it smart and understanding it is not really a race to get back right now. It is a race to get back for training camp and I'm trying to do everything I can,'' he said. Wreh-Wilson suffered a shoulder dislocation in December, had surgery, and was placed on Injured Reserve — ending his second NFL season. He started 11 games prior to the injury and has played in 24 games in his first two seasons. During recent OTAs, Wreh-Wilson has taken part in individual drills and walk-throughs before practice, but he's not taking part in team drills and isn't expected to until at least training camp. The Titans signed veteran Perrish Cox to a three-year, $15 million deal in March, and he's the favorite to start opposite Jason McCourty at cornerback this fall. Titans defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau has made it clear there's an open competition, and both will play.
