See photos 2012 Nissan Titan King Cab 2012 Nissan Titan King Cab What's new for 2012?For 2012, Nissan offers a new Sport Appearance Package on the Titan King Cab and Crew Cab SV models. Included in the package are 20-inch SL aluminum-alloy wheels, dark grille treatment, body-colored front and rear bumpers, black step rails, PRO-4X seats with silver contrasting stitching, lockable bedside storage compartment, a body-side sport "Titan" graphic, white-faced gauges, foglights, and Captain's chairs with a center console.
About Nissan Titan King Cab
The Nissan Titan was a competitive truck when it was introduced...way back in 2004. Since then, the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado were redesigned twice, and the Ram 1500 was redesigned once. Meanwhile, the Titan has soldiered on with just a few tweaks. There are some definite pros to the con of its age. For example, it comes standard with Nissan's 5.6-liter V8, a powerful (but thirsty) engine that offers very good hauling and towing numbers. It also comes with some clever storage management, including lockable bedside storage compartments, and a cargo area tie-down system for your goods and equipment called Utili-track. Still, unless you're deeply in love with the aggressive front end styling, the Nissan Titan gives up a lot to the Silverado, F-150, and Ram 1500.

2014 Nissan Titan King Cab Expert Review
By KBB.com Editors
KBB Expert Rating: 6.4
The 2014 Nissan Titan remains a competitive player among full-size trucks. In a segment traditionally dominated by Ford, GM and Ram, the Titan holds its own against domestic rivals. While it doesn't offer the range of engine choices or heavy duty models like most of its peers, the Titan does come with a stout but thirsty V8 engine, king-cab or crew-cab configuration, and a choice of three bed lengths. Wide-opening rear doors and the built-in Utili-Track cargo system in the truck bed enhance livability and utility. On the other hand, a basic Titan King Cab lacks creature comforts such as power windows and mirrors, even though its base price is close to $30,000.
You'll Like This Car If...If you're looking for an alternative to the herds of domestic half-ton pickups, the 2014 Nissan Titan offers a unique twist, with a stylish exterior, roomy interior, rugged construction, and a proven reliability record. Off-roaders may like the PRO-4X model, which includes a locking rear differential and 2-speed transfer case.
You May Not Like This Car If...The Titan's V8 isn't the strongest or most fuel-efficient. Ford's F-150 EcoBoost V6 makes more horsepower, more torque, and achieves better fuel economy. The Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Chevy Silverado also offer engines more powerful than the Nissan's. Also, the Titan is not available in standard cab configuration.

Driving the Titan King Cab
Driving Impressions The 2014 Nissan Titan's engine isn't the most powerful V8 in its class, but it's far from tepid, with good punch off the line punch and more than enough muscle...
... to get the job done, whether that's passing slower traffic or hauling a heavy trailer (9,500 pounds is the max towing capacity) up a long grade. The powertrain is responsive at all speeds, and we appreciate Nissan's gated 5-speed automatic transmission that comes on models with front captain's chairs. Although 6-speed automatics are the full-size pickup norm now, the Titan's setup is still handy on steep descents and when towing because it allows you to shift to lower gears to spare the brakes. Handling is deliberate for vehicles in this class, but the Titan's steering is better than average, ride quality is surprisingly smooth – ranking near best-in-class – and the cabin is commendably quiet at all speeds.Favorite Features
WIDE-SWINGING REAR DOORThe rear door of Titan's King Cab model swings out 168 degrees, making it much easier for rear-seat passengers to enter and exit. And when the rear bench seat isn't holding passengers, it folds up to create additional interior cargo space.
UTILI-TRACK CARGO MANAGEMENTThis available feature endows the Titan's truck bed with two rails and four cleats to help lock cargo in place. It's a great system to have when you need to tie down and haul uneven loads, and it gives the Titan an edge versus competing trucks.
2014 Nissan Titan King Cab Details
InteriorWith a wide array of trims and options, the 2014 Nissan Titan's roomy cabin can range from simple work truck to a near-premium feel. Base models have two cloth-upholstered bench seats and can accommodate up to six. Higher trims have two leather-covered captain's chairs up front – more comfort, but one less seating position. The Titan's rear bench folds up to create more cargo space. Also offered is a front passenger seat that folds flat to create a mobile workstation. Power-adjustable pedals (optional) help drivers achieve a comfortable position, but the steering wheel adjusts only for rake and does not telescope.
ExteriorThe 2014 Nissan Titan is offered in King and Crew Cab body styles. There is no regular-cab version. The larger Crew Cabs are available in long- or short-wheelbase configurations to accommodate standard and long cargo beds. While exterior styling matters in contemporary pickups, it takes a back seat to utility. It makes sense, then, that Nissan focused on adding practical features to the Titan to better help it do the work for which trucks are known: hauling stuff. To that end, available features include a 120-volt AC outlet, recessed lights, the optional Utili-Track cargo-bed system, and a lockable compartment behind the left rear wheel.
Notable Equipment
Standard EquipmentA basic 2-wheel-drive (2WD) 2014 Nissan Titan S King Cab comes with air conditioning, cloth seating, a 6-speaker AM/FM/CD audio system, a fold-up rear bench seat, washable vinyl floors, and a lockable tailgate. With an MSRP of nearly $30,000, you might be surprised to find a column shifter (due to the bench seat) and manual-adjust mirrors in your base Titan. Also lacking are features such as cruise control, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and even power windows. To get those items in a 2014 Titan, you'll need to spend more money on options or step up to another trim.
Optional EquipmentOptions for the 2014 Nissan Titan vary by trim, with most major features bundled into packages. All Titans can be had with 4-wheel drive (4WD). Other options include comfy captain's chairs in place of the front bench seat, Nissan Connect infotainment and connectivity, Bluetooth, a USB input, a navigation system, Nissan's Utili-Track cargo-bed tie-down system, spray-on bedliner, a Rockford Fosgate premium sound system, a moonroof, a power driver's seat, and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system. Titan models can also be had as flex-fuel vehicles to run on a higher blend of ethanol (E85).
Under the Hood
The 2014 Nissan Titan offers just one engine, a robust 5.6-liter V8 that makes 317 horsepower and is connected to a 5-speed automatic transmission with tow/haul mode. The maximum tow rating is 9,500 pounds. The engine can also be had with the ability to run on a blend up of up to 85 percent ethanol (E85). The Titan's V8 is thirstier than many competing V8 engines. Running on regular gasoline, a rear-drive Titan has a highway rating of just 18 mpg. Four-wheel-drive models are rated for 17 mpg on the highway, and city ratings are 13 mpg with 2WD, 12 mpg with 4WD. The Titan's economy ratings fall off substantially operating on E85.
5.6-liter V8317 horsepower @ 5,200 rpm385 lb-ft of torque @ 3,400 rpmEPA city/highway fuel economy: 13/18 mpg (2WD, gasoline), 12/17 mpg (4WD, gasoline), 9/13 mpg (2WD, E85), 9/12 mpg (4WD, E85)
Pricing Notes
A base 2014 Nissan Titan King Cab has a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $30,265. A PRO-4X King Cab 4x4 with options can reach more than $40,000, while the top-of-the-line SL Crew Cab 4x4 starts at $44,185. The Titan's starting price is quite a bit higher than that of other full-size trucks, thanks to the absence of a standard cab model. When compared with similarly equipped models of the Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado 150, Ram 1500 and Toyota Tundra, the Titan's price is more in line with competitors. Before buying, be sure to check the Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price to see what others in your area are actually paying for their Nissan Titans. Regarding resale value, full-size trucks in general are notoriously average at best. The Nissan Titan is no exception, and has a predicted resale value below that of the Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra and Toyota Tundra.

2015 Nissan Titan S King Cab Specs | Nissan USA
Nissan Advanced Air Bag System (AABS)
Nissan Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) includes dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt sensors and an occupant-classification sensor. The inflation rate of these dual-stage air bags adjusts depending on crash severity and seat belt usage. Built into the front seats, two supplemental air bags offer side impact protection and move with you as you adjust your seating position. Plus, roof-mounted curtain side impact supplemental air bags help provide head protection for both rows of outboard occupants. [*]
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA)Should you need to engage in emergency steering action during braking, the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helps you maintain control by helping to prevent wheel lockup, while the Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) system constantly monitors weight distribution and adjusts rear brake force for more balanced braking. For even more peace of mind, Brake Assist monitors how you apply the brakes and, sensing emergency braking, applies maximum brake force for potentially shorter stops.
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with Traction Control System (TCS)To help enhance rear-wheel grip when accelerating, the Titan's Traction Control System senses wheelspin and automatically reduces engine output and/or brakes the spinning wheel to help give you a surer foothold. Acting in tandem with the Traction Control System, Vehicle Dynamic Control compares actual vehicle cornering performance to the driver’s input, adjusting power levels and applying appropriate brake pressure to individual wheels to help correct oversteer or understeer, helping keep the vehicle on the steered path. [*]
Active Head RestraintsFront-seat Active Head Restraints move up and forward during a rear-end collision, helping reduce the chances of whiplash-type injuries to front-seat passengers.
LATCH System (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren)LATCH is another way we’re working to keep children safe. The Titan LATCH system lets you secure LATCH-compatible child restraints in the second row without having to use seat belts or a locking clip.
Zone Body Construction with front and rear crumple zonesThe Titan features Zone Body construction with front and rear crumple zones and steel side-door guard beams. A reinforced steel-frame structure helps maintain the integrity of the passenger compartment, while crumple zones absorb crash energy.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)TPMS monitors tires for low inflation pressure, which can shorten tire life and reduce the load-carrying capabilities of the vehicle. [*]

Nissan Titan Review - Research New & Used Nissan Titan ...
The Nissan Titan, introduced for 2004, was the first Japanese pickup to truly possess the attributes that buyers typically expect from a full-size truck. Manufactured at Nissan's Canton, Mississippi, plant, it boasts dimensions and capabilities that are very similar to those of domestic full-size pickups. Though it hasn't sold as well as its rivals and is now growing quite long in the tooth, a new or used Nissan Titan can still meet the basic needs of many truck shoppers.
Current Nissan TitanThe Nissan Titan is a full-size pickup truck. In terms of size, it's very similar to the trucks offered by domestic automakers, which means it provides competitive amounts of cargo and interior room. There's a fully boxed frame underneath for maximum rigidity and strength, as well as a traditional solid rear axle with leaf-spring support.
Nissan currently offers the Titan in extended-cab (King Cab) and crew-cab styles, with two bed lengths each. Buyers may also choose between standard- and long-wheelbase versions, with the latter adding 20 inches in length. The King Cab is offered with either a 6.5- or 8-foot bed, while those on the crew cab are each 1 foot shorter. The King Cab's rear-hinged doors open extra wide to aid cargo loading or a passenger's entry to the rear seats. The crew cab has four traditional doors and a larger rear seating area with more available rear legroom than the extended cab.
Each Nissan Titan body style is available in four trim levels. Similar to other Nissan products, there's the entry-level S, the midgrade SV, off-road-focused PRO-4X and the luxury-oriented SL. The S has a front bench seat, while captain's chairs with a flow-through console are standard on the other trims. Standard safety features now include stability control, front-seat side airbags and side curtain airbags. Notable options, depending on trim, include upgraded audio systems, a navigation system, a rear-seat DVD entertainment system and utility-enhancing cargo bed features. For those who anticipate pulling trailers, the SV Value Truck or SL Max Utility tow packages are also available.
The PRO-4X trim level adds equipment for serious off-roaders that include Rancho shocks, a lower final-drive ratio, skid plates, an electronic locking differential and 18-inch off-road wheels with aggressive off-road tires. Unique exterior and interior styling cues to differentiate the PRO-4X from the other Titan models are also included.
For power, Nissan offers only one combination: a 5.6-liter V8 connected to a five-speed automatic transmission. The V8 is rated at 317 horsepower and 385 pound-feet of torque. The transmission features a tow/haul mode for when the truck is used for pulling or carrying heavy loads. For every body style and trim combination, two- or four-wheel drive is available.
In Nissan Titan reviews, our editors have found it to be powerful and capable both on- and off-road. Downsides include a lack of additional powertrain choices and the absence of a heavy-duty model. The Titan has also been outclassed by newer competitors in terms of comfort and overall design. Still, we think Nissan's Titan is worth a look.
Used Nissan Titan ModelsThe current, first-generation Titan debuted for 2004, and these earlier trucks could be a good choice for a shopper searching for a used late-model pickup. The first couple of production years, in particular, outclassed domestic pickups in many ways. The most notable changes for the Nissan Titan came for the 2008 model year and included the addition of a long-wheelbase model, exterior and interior styling refreshes and new features. Models built for 2007 and earlier were available in one wheelbase length only, lacked the two different bed lengths for each body style and also had a reduced maximum payload.
It should be noted that stability control, side airbags and side curtain airbags were not standard on all Titans until 2010. Used shoppers should investigate whether the truck in question is equipped with them. Also, the current trim levels were introduced for the 2011 model year; previously, the Titan's three main trims were XE, SE and LE, though feature content was broadly comparable.
