Car dealer to award cars Sumner schools employees - The Tennessean

A Nashville car dealership plans to award Sumner County Schools employees in need with a car during the upcoming football season. Seven cars will be given away at selected football games, beginning with the Aug. All employees who work for the high school hosting the game or the middle and elementary schools that feed into it qualify to receive a car. He just has a big heart,” said Chad Montgomery, Wholesale’s director of marketing and business development. This is the first time Wholesale is giving so many cars in a single outreach effort. Company officials knew from the beginning they wanted to give the cars to teachers. Company officials picked Sumner schools , which approached them and expressed strong interest first. School officials emphasized their neutrality throughout the selection. “When Wholesale approached us, we wanted to make sure the process will be fair and impartial to our employees and give everyone an equal chance,” district spokesman Jeremy Johnson said. “All we’re doing as a school system is providing the opportunity to our employees. We’re really, really excited to have a community business interested in our employees. The Sentra attempts to straddle the line between a mini-size luxury car and a sport compact—but it winds up being neither. The Sentra is full of upscale features, though—Bluetooth, LED exterior lights, available navigation—and build quality is excellent, with top-shelf materials inside the roomy cabin. Quick-Take Review – 2015 Nissan Sentra Overview: Now in its seventh generation, the Sentra is Nissan’s compact car, one competing in a populous and increasingly competent field. There are two choices for routing power to the front wheels, a six-speed manual (only on the base model) and a continuously variable automatic—Xtronic, in Nissan’s nomenclature. There are four trim levels: S ($17,305, or $18,155 with the Xtronic transmission), SV ($19,125), SR ($20,735), and SL ($21,495). There also are numerous option packages for the SV, SR, and SL models to enhance infotainment, interior appointments,... There’s no hybrid in the Sentra lineup but fuel economy is a strong suit, topped by the FE+ model, with EPA ratings of 30 mpg city, 40 highway. FE+ is similar to an Xtronic-equipped S but an extra $400 adds underbody aero enhancements, low-rolling-resistance tires, and a sub-planetary transmission gear give the package a 1-mpg edge over other Xtronic Sentras in both the city and highway...
