A man was shot and killed early Saturday in unincorporated Gretna, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office reported. He had been shot multiple times, and a number of spent 9 mm casings were found near his body, spokesman Glen Boyd said. The victim did not live in the block and apparently was at the apartment complex visiting a friend, Boyd said. Police say the female driver of a 2014 Nissan Sentra and a 23-year-old male passenger were traveling west on I-10 when they were struck from the back about one mile before the Metairie Road Exit. Police say the passenger was ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene. They vehicle was hit in the rear by a pearl white 2008 Cadillac Escalade driven by a 29-year-old male driver.
