Those charged by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office with insurance fraud, theft by deception and criminal conspiracy, among other offenses are:. San Rafael couple 'bitten by the classic car bug' - SFGate

Judy Sommese is a retired schoolteacher, and Joe Sommese is a retired elevator mechanic. They spend almost half the year in San Diego where their son lives, and the other half in San Rafael, where Joe works in his vegetable garden and Judy works on The Chronicle’s crossword puzzles. One night we went into Reno to have dinner, and we happened upon the Hot August Nights classic car event. It was a cruise night, and my husband and I were mesmerized by the parade of beautiful cars driving by. We had been bitten by the classic car bug. The following year, we went to the event and bought a 1968 Chevy Malibu convertible with a 327 small block engine at the swap meet. It was the last day of the event, so we got a good price even though a few things needed fixing. My husband did most of the work, and the car was good to go. We don’t really know much about the car’s history, except for what the previous owner said, “I did some work on this car, and when I was finished I decided to paint it a 'fun’ color. However, when parading the car at shows, I kept hearing things like, “Oh, it’s Barbie’s car,” or “It’s the Pepto-Bismol car. ” I decided the car needed a little more muscle, so I had a friend paint raspberry colored flames down the sides. St. John's, Cross face tough tests in high school football playoffs - Charleston Post Courier

John's Islanders are having their best football season since 2006, sporting an 8-3 record as they head into Friday night's second-round Division I-A playoff game against Bamberg-Ehrhardt. Last week's first-round win over Latta was the school's first since 2006. What's most impressive about the success of this year's team is the number of underclassmen, particularly freshmen, head coach Brad Bowles has been forced to play with this... "We're starting to get some of the injured guys back and rotate them back in but we have played a lot of freshmen all season," said Bowles. Even though St. John's is the top seed in the Lower State bracket, the fourth-seeded Red Raiders of Bamberg-Ehrhardt are considered the favorite in Friday's game. At 10-1 this season, Bamberg-Ehrhardt has one of the state's top defensive units, allowing less than six points per game. "They are very talented and athletic, easily the most athletic team we have played," Bowles said. We're excited about the opportunity to play one of the top programs in the state. We want to win the game and our kids feel like we can win. Also in the Class A playoffs, Cross will have a tough test on Friday with Estill, which boasts a running game that features senior Jarvis Singleton, who has rushed for more than 1,600 yards this season.
