It began with the ground breaking 3, continued with the 6, and then followed on with the mini 2. Sales of small cars like the Mazda2 have soared as Australians have shed their attachment to big cars and downsized like crazy. The new 2 in 2007 promised new looks, great value and class-leading dynamics, and delivered in spades. This is the fifth consecutive month that Mazda has posted record sales. With supply issues slowing CX-3 sales in recent months, the arrival of further stock saw Mazda's newest SUV record 1,284 sales in July. It was the industry's top-selling small SUV last month and it was the CX-3's second best sales month since launching in March. Its YTD tally is 5,535. Mazda3 was again the marque's most popular nameplate with 2,825 July sales and holds its place as one of the nation's most popular cars. This month, Mazda2 Hatch will be updated in line with an All-New Mazda2 Sedanâ which will go on sale in the next few weeks.
